Bringing God’s Kingdom Here

YolaniTwo summers ago I fell in love with this very special Honduran girl named Yolani, and sponsored her when another sponsor, Kim Hall, was advocating for her before her upcoming trip to Honduras.  As a result, Kim was able to meet Yolani and take photos of her for me… photos which are treasured keepsakes of the beginning of a very special sponsorship.  Last summer I joined Kim and several other sponsors on a trip to visit Yolani’s project, and I was blessed to meet Yolani for myself and make treasured memories that will last a lifetime.

This summer I will be returning with Kim and other sponsors to Yolani’s project, Blessing of God, in the rural Honduran mountains on a Compassion Vision trip.  On this trip we will be visiting three different projects, including a very special new project that is just starting, Tu Reino Aqui, or in English, Your Kingdom Here.  This is a very significant event for this new project, that a group of dedicated sponsors will meet with them, bringing encouragement, tons of prayers and blessings, and tangible help as they start their beautiful work of lifting the children from poverty and changing their stories.

I love love LOVE! the name of this project, because this is one of my favorite themes in the Bible…  bringing the Kingdom of God here on earth… that the love, joy, peace, wholeness, and all the goodness that is in heaven is brought down here on earth to invade people’s lives.  There is no poverty in heaven!  There is no sorrow or sadness… no broken families… no grief.  As heirs of God’s kingdom, we have access to the riches of heaven to bring them here on earth into people’s lives… the shalom of God which is wholeness, completeness, nothing lacking, missing, or out of order.

So here is some good news… you can be part of this new work to see the King’s rule brought to the lives of some precious children and their families and community!  I am advocating for these 10 children who will be blessed to have sponsors who will come alongside them, and speak life and blessing to them.
